George delivered a fantastic service- I am very pleased. It is clear that George is very experienced and knowledgeable about a range of different pests. His customer service was excellent too. Also went above and beyond and provided advice on sealing vent holes even though this was unrelated to the primary problem. Thank you George.Posted on Google![]()

Pest2Control very helpful, polite on time and reassuring. Needed help with catching squirrel/s in loft space. With 3 visits, cost similar to other pest control groups that quoted. Great team to complete this task. Thank you 😊Posted on Google![]()

An excellent job. Had a mouse issue and George was thorough. One payment but three visits. Each time mice were caught but last time - none. Advice on blocking up the air vents also helpful. They also fitted the one way rat valve in the sewer. Great job.Posted on Google![]()

Few parts of London have as many places to eat as the north of Southwark. Borough Market, Maltby Street, the restaurants around London Bridge and Bankside, the cafes of Bermondsey Street and the takeaways along the Walworth Road all handle food all day, often in older buildings with basements, shared walls and cellars. That combination makes the area a constant target for mice, rats, cockroaches and flies.
Food businesses must show environmental health officers that pests are being controlled. Our commercial pest control contracts include regular visits, monitoring and fast call-outs between visits, and we can work before service, after closing or at weekends so the kitchen keeps running.
German cockroaches are the most common cockroach in restaurant kitchens. They live behind and underneath equipment, in the motors of fridges and dishwashers, and in cracks around sinks and pipework, and they breed quickly. Treatment has to reach exactly where they hide, and it works best alongside a deep clean and a check of deliveries. Our cockroach control page explains how we treat them.
Older commercial buildings often have cellars, storerooms and ceiling voids that connect several units. Mice move through these freely, so a problem in one business can easily come from next door. Finding and sealing the routes between units is as important as treating the activity.
In summer, flies breed in bins, grease traps and food waste, and a busy kitchen with doors propped open lets them straight in. Flies around food are a serious concern at a hygiene inspection. Finding the breeding source is the priority, whether it’s the bin area, a drain or waste left too long before collection. Our fly control page explains how we find and deal with the source.
A large share of homes in the borough are flats, from council estates in Walworth and Bermondsey to new towers at Elephant and Castle and Canada Water. In multi-storey buildings, pests travel between flats through service risers, bin chutes, heating pipes and gaps where cables pass through walls and floors.
German cockroaches can spread through a whole block from a single flat, and bed bugs move between neighbours on furniture and belongings. Mice use the same routes, especially in older blocks. For all three, treating one flat on its own often only moves the problem next door. We work with residents, landlords and managing agents so that affected flats and shared areas can be inspected and treated together.
Residents can help too. Report signs to your landlord or managing agent early, before the problem spreads. Keep food in sealed containers, don’t leave dirty dishes or pet bowls out overnight, and avoid using your own sprays after a professional treatment, as they can stop cockroaches taking the bait. If you’re moving furniture between flats or bringing in second-hand items, check them carefully for bed bugs first.
The Thames runs the full length of the borough’s northern edge, from Bankside past Bermondsey and around the Rotherhithe peninsula. Old wharves, sewers, railway arches and the viaducts carrying trains into London Bridge give rats plenty of cover. Major redevelopment around Canada Water, Elephant and Castle and other sites also disturbs rats living underground, and they often move into nearby homes, gardens and bin stores.
Bin stores in large developments are a common starting point. Overflowing bins and split bags give rats a steady food supply right next to the building. Our rat control service deals with the rats and shows you the burrows and entry points, and we advise on changes to the bin area so they aren’t drawn back.
Mice are one of the most common problems in offices, particularly in older buildings and converted warehouses around London Bridge, Southwark Street and Bankside. They travel through ceiling voids, raised floors and cable routes, and they’re drawn by food left at desks and in kitchens. Regular inspections help catch activity before staff or clients notice it, and rodent proofing around service entry points stops mice getting in from neighbouring buildings.
The south of the borough is very different. Dulwich Village, East Dulwich and West Dulwich have large Victorian and Edwardian houses, big gardens and plenty of green space, with Dulwich Park, Dulwich Wood and Sydenham Hill Wood close by. Camberwell has fine Georgian and Victorian terraces around Camberwell Grove. Grey squirrels get into lofts here through gaps at the eaves, often using trees to reach the roof, and our squirrel control service removes them and seals the roof afterwards.
Older family homes with wool carpets, rugs and stored clothing are also a common place to find carpet and clothes moths, usually in rooms and wardrobes that aren’t used every day.
We cover Borough, Bankside, London Bridge, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Surrey Quays, Canada Water, Elephant and Castle, Walworth, Camberwell, East Dulwich, Dulwich Village and West Dulwich, across the SE1, SE5, SE16, SE17, SE21 and SE22 postcodes. Peckham, also in the borough, has its own page: see pest control in Peckham.
We also cover neighbouring Lambeth and Lewisham. See all the areas we cover.
Yes. We can visit early in the morning, after service or at weekends so treatment doesn’t affect your customers or kitchen team.
Yes. We work with managing agents, landlords and residents so that affected flats and shared areas can be treated together, which is the most effective way to deal with pests in large buildings.
In blocks of flats, cockroaches often live in shared ducts, risers and neighbouring flats. Unless those areas are treated too, they can return after a treatment in one flat.
