George delivered a fantastic service- I am very pleased. It is clear that George is very experienced and knowledgeable about a range of different pests. His customer service was excellent too. Also went above and beyond and provided advice on sealing vent holes even though this was unrelated to the primary problem. Thank you George.Posted on Google![]()

Pest2Control very helpful, polite on time and reassuring. Needed help with catching squirrel/s in loft space. With 3 visits, cost similar to other pest control groups that quoted. Great team to complete this task. Thank you 😊Posted on Google![]()

An excellent job. Had a mouse issue and George was thorough. One payment but three visits. Each time mice were caught but last time - none. Advice on blocking up the air vents also helpful. They also fitted the one way rat valve in the sewer. Great job.Posted on Google![]()

This is one of the greenest parts of south-east London. Avery Hill Park, Eltham Park North and South, the woods along Shooters Hill, the grounds of Eltham Palace and the long gardens behind the interwar houses are full of mature oaks, chestnuts and limes. That’s ideal territory for grey squirrels, and the local houses, with their tiled roofs, deep eaves and branches hanging over the gutters, give them an easy way into the loft.
The signs are usually thumping, rolling and scratching overhead early in the morning and again in the late afternoon, chewed fascia boards or soffits, and shredded loft insulation. Squirrels also chew electrical cables, which is a real fire risk. Grey squirrels are an invasive species, so they can’t legally be caught and released elsewhere. Our squirrel control service removes them properly and seals the entry points once the loft is clear.
Branches within a couple of metres of the roof act as a bridge for squirrels. Cutting them back, along with sealing the gaps at the eaves, makes a big difference to whether they try to return.
The River Quaggy runs through Sutcliffe Park on the western edge of the area, and the railway lines through Eltham, Mottingham and New Eltham stations cut through long rows of back gardens. Riverbanks and railway embankments give rats water, cover and a route straight to the gardens that back onto them.
Most rat problems here start in the garden: burrows under sheds, decking and patio slabs, runs through the lawn, and gnawed compost bin lids. Bird feeders, chicken runs and pet food stored in garages are common attractions. Once rats are settled outside, they look for a way into the house, usually through damaged air bricks or a defect in an old drain. Our rat control service deals with the rats and the reason they came.
Much of the area was built between the wars, with long streets of semi-detached houses around the Rochester Way, Westhorne Avenue, Eltham Park and New Eltham. They’re solid family homes, but they have suspended timber floors, air bricks at ground level, and side doors and garages where mice find their way in as the weather turns cold. Kitchen extensions and conservatories added over the years often leave gaps where the new walls meet the old.
Clearing the mice is only half the job. Our mice control service treats the activity, and rodent proofing seals the air bricks, pipe entries and gaps under units so they don’t come back next autumn.
The Well Hall Estate, built during the First World War as homes for workers at the Royal Arsenal, is one of the best-known neighbourhoods in south-east London, with its cottage-style terraces, varied rooflines and timber details. Homes this age often have hidden voids behind panelling, under stairs and around chimney breasts, and party walls shared between cottages. Mice can move between neighbouring homes through these spaces, so we check the shared routes as well as your own rooms, and choose proofing methods that suit older buildings without damaging original features.
Family homes here have plenty of patios, paths and block-paved drives laid right up against the house, and these are favourite nesting spots for black garden ants. From spring, they come into kitchens through gaps along the walls and under door frames, and on warm summer days flying ants can pour out of the same nest. Our ant control service traces them back to the nest and treats it at the source.
Homes with cats and dogs often see fleas in late summer and autumn, and new owners regularly find fleas hatching from the carpets a few days after moving into a house where pets lived before. Treating the pet alone rarely solves it, because most of the problem is the eggs and larvae in carpets, rugs and sofas. Our flea treatment deals with the house while your vet treats the pets.
In older family homes with wool carpets, rugs and lofts full of stored clothes, carpet and clothes moths can do a lot of damage before anyone notices. Bare patches along the skirting or holes in knitwear are the usual signs. Moths are one of our specialist areas, and our carpet moth treatment page explains how we clear them.
Eltham High Street, Well Hall Road and the parades in Mottingham and New Eltham have cafes, takeaways, restaurants, pubs and shops. Kitchens and storerooms can see mice, rats, cockroaches and flies, and food businesses must show environmental health officers that pests are being controlled. Our commercial pest control contracts include regular visits arranged around your opening hours.
We cover Eltham town centre, Well Hall, Eltham Park, Avery Hill, Falconwood, Mottingham, New Eltham and Middle Park, across the SE9 postcode. Eltham is part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and our Greenwich pest control page covers Woolwich, Charlton, Blackheath and the rest of the borough.
We also cover neighbouring Catford, Bromley and our home borough of Bexley. See all the areas we cover.
Timing is the best clue. Squirrels are active during the day, so noise starts around dawn. Rats are mostly active at night. Rats also leave larger, darker droppings and greasy smear marks.
Not while they’re still inside. They’ll chew a new way out, causing more damage, or become trapped. The squirrels need to be removed first, then the gaps sealed.
Because the gaps they used last year haven’t been sealed. Air bricks, pipe entries and gaps under kitchen units are the usual routes. Proofing after treatment stops the yearly cycle.
