George delivered a fantastic service- I am very pleased. It is clear that George is very experienced and knowledgeable about a range of different pests. His customer service was excellent too. Also went above and beyond and provided advice on sealing vent holes even though this was unrelated to the primary problem. Thank you George.Posted on Google![]()

Pest2Control very helpful, polite on time and reassuring. Needed help with catching squirrel/s in loft space. With 3 visits, cost similar to other pest control groups that quoted. Great team to complete this task. Thank you 😊Posted on Google![]()

An excellent job. Had a mouse issue and George was thorough. One payment but three visits. Each time mice were caught but last time - none. Advice on blocking up the air vents also helpful. They also fitted the one way rat valve in the sewer. Great job.Posted on Google![]()

Much of the borough is made up of Victorian and Edwardian terraces and semis, from the streets between Wandsworth Common and Clapham Junction to the houses of Earlsfield, Southfields and Balham. They’re sought-after family homes, and many have been extended, with kitchens knocked through, lofts converted and basements dug out. Every one of those building projects leaves gaps around new pipework, under kitchen units and where old and new walls meet, and mice find them.
Suspended timber floors, old air bricks and shared walls between terraced houses make it easy for mice to move from one home to the next. The first signs are usually droppings behind the kitchen kickboards, scratching in the ceiling at night or nibbled food in cupboards. Our mice control service clears them, and rodent proofing seals the gaps so they don’t come back next winter.
It’s common for mice to appear within a year or two of major building work. The gaps left behind new units, around soil pipes and where the extension joins the original house are often hidden and never sealed. We check these areas first, as they’re usually where the problem starts.
Larger family homes in Putney, Wandsworth and Balham often have wool carpets, rugs, cashmere and wool suits, and spare rooms, wardrobes and loft storage that aren’t disturbed for months. That’s exactly what clothes moths and carpet moths look for. The damage is done by the larvae, which feed along carpet edges, under beds and furniture, and in stored clothes, leaving irregular holes and bare patches. Moth control is one of our specialist areas, and our carpet moth treatment page explains how we deal with them.
Before we treat, wash affected clothes and textiles on the hottest setting the fabric allows or have them dry cleaned, and seal cleaned woollens in bags or boxes. Clear the floor under beds, sofas and wardrobes so we can reach carpet edges and skirting boards, and vacuum thoroughly just before we arrive. We’ll give you full instructions when you book, and advice on keeping moths away once the treatment is complete.
The Thames forms the borough’s northern edge, from Nine Elms and Battersea past Wandsworth Town to Putney, and the River Wandle joins it at Wandsworth. Riverbanks, old drainage, railway lines into Clapham Junction and the green corridors around them all give rats cover and routes between properties. Homes and businesses close to the river, and gardens backing onto railway embankments, tend to see more rat activity.
Regeneration around Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms, and redevelopment in Wandsworth Town, has also disturbed rats living underground, pushing them into nearby homes, gardens and bin stores. Our rat control service finds where they’re living and how they’re getting in.
Many period houses in the borough have been converted to include basement or lower ground floor flats. These are often the first place rats appear, as they sit closest to old drains, soil pipes and the space under the floor. Scratching in the walls, droppings in the kitchen or a smell under the floorboards are all worth reporting quickly, and we’ll check the drainage points as part of the inspection.
The towers around Battersea Power Station and along the river at Nine Elms and Wandsworth are among the newest homes in London. New buildings aren’t pest-free. Grey silverfish, which don’t need damp to survive, are increasingly found in modern flats, spreading along skirting boards and service ducts, and our silverfish treatment page explains why DIY products rarely clear them. In large blocks, bed bugs and mice can also move between flats through risers and service cupboards, so we work with residents and building managers to treat affected flats together.
The borough has more open space than most of inner London, with Wandsworth Common, Tooting Common, Battersea Park, Putney Heath and the edge of Richmond Park at Roehampton. Mature trees in parks and gardens mean plenty of grey squirrels, and they get into lofts through gaps at the eaves and under roof tiles. Early morning thumping and scratching above the ceiling is the usual sign. Our squirrel control service removes them and seals the roof afterwards.
Northcote Road, Battersea Park Road, Putney High Street, Balham’s high road and the restaurants and bars at Battersea Power Station are full of food businesses. Kitchens, storerooms and bin areas face mice, rats, cockroaches and flies, and all of them are a concern at an environmental health inspection. Our commercial pest control contracts include regular visits, arranged early, late or at weekends to fit around service.
We cover Battersea, Clapham Junction, Nine Elms, Wandsworth Town, Wandsworth Common, Putney, Roehampton, Southfields, Earlsfield and Balham, across the SW8, SW11, SW12, SW15 and SW18 postcodes. Clapham Common, Clapham High Street and Clapham North are covered on our Lambeth page, and Tooting, also in the borough, has its own page: see pest control in Tooting.
We also cover neighbouring Wimbledon and Kingston upon Thames. See all the areas we cover.
Building work often leaves hidden gaps around new pipework, under kitchen units and where the extension meets the original house. Mice use these to get in. We find and seal them as part of the treatment.
Yes. Moth larvae often feed along the edges of fitted carpets, under furniture and behind doors, where the carpet isn’t walked on or vacuumed. Bare patches along the skirting are a common sign.
Yes. Grey silverfish are common in newer flats, and mice and bed bugs can move between flats in large blocks through service ducts and risers.
Yes. We choose proofing methods that close the gaps without affecting ventilation or original features. If your home is listed, check with the council before making changes to the fabric of the building.
